I am a licensed clinical psychologist-psychoanalyst whose approach is holistic – a blend of insight, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I listen on multiple levels—emotional, mental, physical, spiritual—and believe strongly in the unity of mind and body. The psychoanalytic inquiry provides the narrative, and the mindfulness framework encourages a new way of relating to one’s self.
I supervise and teach on the integration of spirituality and psychotherapy. In 2023, I became a certified meditation teacher through Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Program. I am also a Clinical Adjunct Supervisor for Long Island University’s doctoral psychology program.
I enjoy writing and am currently working on a book about enmeshed mother-daughter relationships and mindfulness. I am an Associate Editor for the journal Contemporary Psychoanalysis.
My doctorate is from Long Island University, Brooklyn, and my psychoanalytic training was at the William Alanson White Institute in New York City. My bachelor’s degree is from Duke University.
I love skiing, biking, running, and pilates. I am a former competitive ultimate Frisbee player. I am fluent in French.
